The original packaging was a blister pack made of hard plastic and we re-designed it using only corrugated board and small drop of glue. Our version, made from corrugated board and with perforation, is both easier and safer to open. It also protects the product from possible hits and fiddling. We wanted to minimize the use of packaging material and made it very compact. The new design also brings new ways to present the product better in supermaket shelves. We used the heart rate monitor’s own buckles to attach the product to the packaging and reduced the use of packaging materials there, too. We used a laser cutter when making the window and used it as a graphic element in order to save ink and to make it more interesting.
