ECO-FRIENDLY LIGHT BULB PACKAGING
The project was to design an eco-friendly package for Green Depot located in 222 Bowery, New York. Objectives were to design a new package with environmentally friendly materials that used an existing brand for mass marketing.
This package was designed with the 3R approach: Reduce, Remove, and Recycle. With this approach I minimized materials and cut the amount of product waste when producing the product. I went about this by removing plastic material from the existing light bulb packaging, and used a 100% Recycled Corrugated Cardboard Box for the exterior packaging. With the nature of the corrugated box, another piece of thick cardboard is attached to the screw cap of the light bulb and then slides into the exterior packaging.
