Designer, Kendrick Kidd, was tasked with designing the collection of cans for Bold City Brewery. His approach was to give each can the personality they needed.

“I recently had the opportunity to revisit some of the branding/packaging elements for Bold City Brewery. Up to this point Bold City has been bottling much of their beer, but a few months ago they decided to make the switch over to cans. The goal was to stay true to the existing brand and labels, but develop a system that more tightly unified all of the packaging across the board (as well as other branded efforts). Based on inspiration from the brewery’s warehouse floor, and the owner’s bust-ass work ethic, I chose a slanted stripe similar to ones found on loading docks to help define the family of the pieces… the small adjustment felt like a natural fit for the earnest, Jacksonville brand. The roll-out plan is to fold the new stripe into other printed and digital pieces as the need calls until the effort is completed.”
