Monks Brew is a beer package and logo design that was inspired by the Trappist monks who continue to brew beer. The colors used are similar to those used in the past to identify the different brews. The twine tying the tag to the neck of the bottles represents the sashes worn by monks. The pattern was made through repetition of a maze found in the Amiens Cathedral (these mazes were used in prayer and meditation). Each brew has the pattern overlaid using the same number as their namesake. The enkel being a single layer of pattern, the second having two layers, and the third three.
