The task: Based on the font »Masala« (by font designer Xavier Dupré) the students had to create a package design for a product that matches the character of the type face.
I chose apricot products from the Wachau—a beautiful area in Austria. The products are only made from kinds of apricots that are traditionally grown in Wachau, such as »Klosterneuburger Marille«. I named the company after the movie character »Mariandl« because she is connected to the Wachau region and embodies warmth and tradition.
