Gallows Hill in Cape Town is linked to a dark and shadowy time in the history of the city.  Here, not too long ago, the deviant and the unfortunate alike could be doomed to die by hanging. Contemplate the creak of ropes on the crossbeam as bodies of the condemned swing in the cold wind.
