Starting January 1st 2014, Colorado will be the first state to legalize marijuana sales.
With the new relaxed laws come much stricter packaging guidelines. All packaging has to be opaque and childproof.
Grit took this as an opportunity to re-vamp the Dixie brand in its entirety so that Dixie would be in compliance with the new restrictions, and also appeal to a wider, non-medical use audience.
The new look was applied through all 85 SKUs in the Dixie product line up, including sodas, mints, tinctures, chocolates, lotions and even bath salts.
