For this project, one of my main goals, was to make Eight O’ Clock have a new and fresh branch added to their company that would appeal to the younger generation. Currently, the Eight O’ Clock brand is not geared toward millenials, therefore the younger generation is not inclined to buy this brand. This is why I created the Daily Drip Cold Brew IV Packets. This line of cold brew comes in three flavors including original, almond milk, and coconut milk. The design concept for the labeling was decided to be very bold and eyecatching. I went with a splatter paint style packaging to stand apart from the rest of the coffee packaging on the market. I also wanted the splatter paint to simulate the look of liquid, like the cold brew in the packets. The non dairy milk choices and IV bag concept were also both ways to ways to appeal to the hipster, and younger, generation. The type design was made based on the the concept of the “daily drip”. I wanted the type to showcase what the brand was about. The colors were chosen slightly to hint at what was in each flavor. I wanted to go more literal with the color representation so the concept of the coffee brand would not be lost.
