Designed by Tsan-Yu Yin for Xue Xue Institute, the “Citrus Moon” packaging explores the oriental heritage with minimal colors and contemporary esthetics. “Abstract watercolors on the exterior sleeve box conjoin the symbolization of the mid-autumn harvest moon, and the rounded figure of the citrus. Adding dimension to the design, the sliding motion of the sleeve box recreates the progression of different lunar phases. The interior box is a derivative of the lunar cycle. Each mooncake represents different lunar phases paired with the corresponding poetic Chinese phrases.” A beautiful treat for the gift holder.
