The name Cedar + Shea personally reflects the line of products it sells. Cedar represents the natural tree scents that all of the products have, and Shea represents the key ingredient, shea butter which is an organic, all natural substance used in all of the handmade products.

The simplicity of the design reflects the company’s values and ethics. Cedar + Shea stresses quality and consistency, in addition to an open and honest communication between them and the customer. So many times, soap, lotions and other products alike use marketing jargon or confusing ingredients to misinform the customer about exactly what they are buying. Cedar + Shea avoids any confusion or misinterpretation with it’s simple and clean typography and design.

Additionally, to add some personality, each scent has a hand-drawn pattern to reflect the fragrance and reflect the handmade quality of the products. The products are made with bright, engaging colors as well to draw the viewers eye.
