The assignment was to design a packaging system for a chocolate company. The design should attract a specific target audience and reflect a unique interpretation of the product. My approach was to create Nutritool, a play on the word “multitool,” which will produce chocolate that provides active outdoorsman with all the essential nutrients. I aimed to create a packaging system for Nutritool that functions like a pocket knife and will act as a piece of essential, go-to gear for outdoorsman. The outer wood case, which measures 8” x 2.5”, acts as a reusable carrying case and can hold five chocolate bars which swing from the case. The chocolate bars are also to be sold separately so that users can reload their case for their next adventure.
